I've been seeking stonemasonry knowledge since I first learned about the craft. When I first got hooked up to the Internet, I was disappointed that there was very lttle information about my trade to be found there. I decided that I would share what I knew so that others could learn about stonemasonry, and perhaps share their knowledge in return.
Just over four years ago, I began

You can join us in the stonemasonry training workshop to view a recent activity -

The rock lime was then carefully added to water so that slaking (hydration) could occur. When it cools, the slaked lime is aged under water to become lime putty, and then it w…

Isn't it strange that princes and kings
And clowns that caper in sawdust rings,
And common folks like you and me
Are all builders for eternity?
To each is given a book of rules,
A block of stone and bag of tools,
And each must shape, ere time has flown,
A stumbling block or a stepping stone.
